Bit of a mouthful, but we're better engineers than marketers doncha-know?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhile there is absolutely nothing stopping you from just wiring up DS18B20s directly to your microcontroller, these extender breakouts will make things just a lil bit easier. You can use \u003ca href=\"\/hi\/products\/jst-ph-3-pin-plug-plug-cable-100mm-long\"\u003eJST 3-pin cables\u003c\/a\u003e to chain the extenders, the soldered-on screw terminal blocks mean you can easily connect \u003ca href=\"\/hi\/products\/ds18b20-digital-temperature-sensor-extras\"\u003eDS18B20s in TO-92\u003c\/a\u003e or cable style with just a screwdriver.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach extender has a 4.7K signal pullup on board that can be disabled by cutting a trace, and a buffered signal LED that will let you know when there's data transmission on the 1-Wire line. When the red LED blinks, you know that data is going over the 1-wire line.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlease Note\u003c\/strong\u003e: \u003cstrong\u003eThis board doesn't come with a DS18B20 sensor itself; it's just an adapter helper.
