The board is designed with castellated pads to allow it to be directly soldered onto a PCB (or you can attach \u003ca href=\"\/products\/male-headers-for-raspberry-pi-pico\"\u003epin headers\u003c\/a\u003e to hook it up on a \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/solderless-breadboards\"\u003ebreadboard\u003c\/a\u003e or connect things to it directly with wires). We've also managed to fit in a programmable RGB LED, a reset button, a \u003ca href=\"\/search?q=stemma+qt+cable\u0026amp;narrow_by=\u0026amp;sort_by=relevency\u0026amp;page=1\"\u003eQw\/ST connector\u003c\/a\u003e for connecting up I2C devices and some clever circuitry that lets you use the boot button as a user-controllable switch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's compatible with firmware built for the \u003ca href=\"\/products\/raspberry-pi-pico-2\"\u003eRaspberry Pi Pico 2\u003c\/a\u003e but offers fewer pins due to its size.
